The Sci-Phy Collection comprises of several metaspaces that create a new form of spatial connection with various unique locations. This is established by creating linkable architectural spaces that virtually pair with physical locations to activate anti-real features and experiences. As part of the Sci-Phy collection, project HYDROUS serves as a futuristic interactive metaspace where the architecture physically pairs with Stora Dimun island (Faroe Islands) in the Atlantic Ocean to activate an anti-real feature and experience. Once paired, the rising wave )Hefring( is activated and rises from the ocean all the way to the top to fill the pool with water, offering an anti-real experience to those entering the pool, viewing the pool from the inside or from the yacht in the open ocean. Contextually, the rising wave )Hefring( refers to one of the nine daughters of Aegin and Ran the God and Goddess of the sea in Nordic mythology.
Architecturally speaking, the form and spatial organization have been designed to accommodate a smooth upward flow of water, where the water gathers and stops rising once it reaches the pool deck. The flow of the rising wave can be controlled through pool activation platforms throughout the project through a user friendly interface. The program, spatial placements, and the vertical and the horizontal circulations have been configured according to this feature so that all spaces could face the water el- ement and all movements directed towards it. Furthermore, the architecture compliments the cliff by taking its shape both vertically and horizontally, while opening at the top in order to invite light to the rooftop and into the internal spaces. The metaspace also includes custom designed furniture as well as a custom designed yacht that can be driven in an open ocean with an instant docking feature. Other special features include upward and downward elevators, fireplaces, custom designed piano, and a meditation platform that is connected to the InsightTimer website. The web screens can be used to surf any website, access email, play movies and music, access presentations, and social media platforms.
